- Help define, build, and maintain our next generation third party data ingest platform processing petabytes of data
- Work with industry-leading technologies like Kafka, Elastic Search and Cassandra.
- Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects
- Troubleshoot critical production issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- 9+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience with event stream platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with NoSQL and Relational DB’s
- Hands on experience in large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization
- Experience in building data platforms at scale
- GoLang/Java/Python skills with strong debugging skills
- Operational experience in the tuning of clusters for optimal data processing
- Experience working in Linux
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes based development and orchestration.
- Contributed to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)
- Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.

About the Role:
We are looking to hire a cloud engineer to help develop our next-gen third party data ingest platform. We are building systems from the ground up that ingest, parse, enrich and route third party data. Additionally, you will help scale the platform to handle petabyte scale – the Crowdstrike platform today processes more than 1 Trillion events per day. The team has a critical role to play in ensuring our products are best-in-class in the industry.
